Must-Have Monday: Mona’s Picks

We’ve known this pretty lady since she was just a kid with a mischievous twinkle in her eye. Over the years, Mona has been there for us as both a shoulder to lean on and a partner in crime, cementing her place in our lives as an honorary cousin. Though she now has two adorable kids of her own, she’s still as cute as a button, and just as much fun as she ever was. She’s also turned us on to more than a few of our favorite, can’t-live-without products and continues to be our go-to source for the best of what’s out there in the world of makeup, skincare, and hair styling.  If ever you find yourself in a beauty rut, she’s your girl. Always experimenting with new brands, she’s the friend you want to bring along when you go to the makeup counter.  We’re feeling generous today and decided to share her with you. Here’s a roundup of her latest discoveries, which we can’t wait to try:

Help, we’re bored with our mascara.

You need to try Lancome HYPNÔSE Doll Lashes and Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Masara, both of which I love.

We’ve been wearing the same blush for ten years and we’re thinking of cheating on it. What shall we take as our paramour?
I was always a fan of Nars blushes and still am, but I recently bought Tarte Amazonian Clay Long-Wear Blush in Tipsy. It’s a gorgeous matte, coral-pink color.

Our eyeliner has been wimping out on us lately. How come yours stays on and always looks perfect?
I have an oily eye area, so nothing stays put except for Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner. I also got Nars Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Via Appia — it doesn’t budge.

And why are you always so fresh-faced and glowy? It’s totally unfair that your skin doesn’t age. Is there a portrait of you tucked away in an attic somewhere, growing older by the minute?
I’ve had dry skin since I had kids, and I’ve been using First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Wash. The packaging is very uninviting bit it works and makes my skin feel so clean.

Thanks to Mona for shaking up our routine with her great suggestions!
